Hi there! I am a native of the St. George area and just moved back home after 20 years away. I’ve traveled in 48 countries and most states in the US. Travel is my passion. I love helping guests with their travels. I rent cars, lodging, and I own an adventure equipment rental company near Zion, renting kayaks, ebikes, Mountain bikes, and racks as well as full camping gear for travelers coming through the Zion National park areas and St George. Please ignore the older 1 star review. I did everything in my power to help that guest but Turo is not and there is more to it, but I tried to help her best I could. I did have a perfect 5 star rating prior. I do ensure your trip will be perfectly smooth with me.

This was my first experience with Turo. It was and continues to be a nightmare. This host, Jacob, mistakenly approved my request to rent his car. Later that same day he realized his mistake and asked me to “cancel” my request. Since it was within the 24-hr period (we were planning to pick the car up the next day), the app would not allow me to cancel and get a full refund. I messaged Jacob and explained. At this point it was 2:00 in the morning on the east coast, so Jacob said he would take care of it by contacting Turo admin in the morning and ensured that they are a trustworthy company and that he would give his approval for them to give me a full refund. Morning came and went. On our journey to Vegas, believing that the situation with Jacob would eventually get resolved, I tried renting another car from Turo, but the system “believed” that we were locked into an agreement with Jacob and therefore would not let us rent a different vehicle. We arrived in Vegas to have no transportation. We spent hundreds of dollars Ubering around Vegas while I continued to try to communicate with both Jacob and Turo. Turo’s phone answering system put me into a call queue that just kept increasing in wait time. I spent probably a total of 2 hours on hold over the course of the first couple days of our vacation. At that point I really just wanted to get my money back, which was over $400. At one point, I was using their online instant messaging system and stated my problem to a helper named Daniel. He asked for a few bits of information and then never got back to me. My vacation is over, we never received a rental vehicle thru Turo, and yet I am stuck with a $400+ charge on my credit card!

JACOB was really nice and the car was really clean and drove well. I would definitely rent from him again.
